On this page you'll find all the people participating in the Calcularis project. Whereas Prof. M. Gross and T. Käser as computer scientists developed and continuously enhance the software, Prof. M. von Aster and J. Kohn contribute the know-how about dyscalculia and about running psychological studies. C. Vögeli is responsible for the development of the software at Dybuster AG.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Gross is a professor of computer science, chair of the institute of computational science, and director of the Computer Graphics Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich. Since nearly 20 years Gross is doing research in the fields of computer graphics, image processing, physical based simulations and game technologies. He wrote more than 100 international publications. In the recent past he developed a growing interest for the use of multi-medial technologies for therapies of learn disabilities and for the mathematic modeling of human learn behavior. He's the father of Dybuster and wrote the first version of Dybuster on his own.

Tanja Käser studied Computer Science at ETH. She developped the game ideas of Calcularis and the mathematical model that estimates the user's skills and adjust the learning content accordingly.

Christian Vögeli has got a master in computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich. In his master thesis he was working on the information theoretical model of Dybuster, the ideal color coding of the letters and optimal word selection for the Dybuster training. In October 2005 he passed the final exams with distinction. He was the man in charge of the first Dybuster study before he switched in May 2007 to the newly founded Dybuster AG (www.dybuster.com).

Dr. Matthias Ringwald studied Computer Science at University Karlsruhe and obtained his PhD from ETH Zürich. He is responsible for the software development at the ETH spin-off Dybuster AG and in that role also of Calcularis.
