Course Topics

This course covers advanced topics in Scientific Visualization, including: contouring and isosurfaces, direct volume rendering, visualization of flow and vector fields, texture advection, feature extraction, topological methods, information visualization, visualization software, and hot topics of current research.

Goals

Becoming familiar with the fundamental methods and some advanced techniques of scientific visualization. Being able to apply visualization to measurement or simulation data and to correctly interpret visualization results.
